I used to think this was a funny sign, having never seen one before since I grew up in a land-locked portion of the state and thinking those were just things that happened in tropical locales (which Washington definitely is not). But after the great Tsunami disaster in Southeast Asia, I understand better now.

It's hard to get close enough for the sign to be readable without trespassing and getting thrown in the brig.
