Before setting out on a tour of two of the five corners of Washington for the Independence Day weekend in 2004, Scott and I fueled ourselves at Shari's.

Scott is pulling a camping trailer behind his 1984 GL1200. It folds out to a nice double bed and inside we have packed coolers and sleeping bags. Mark (that's me) rides a 1989 GL1500. We both have CB radios so we can talk while we ride.

First stop was the KOA campground in Ilwaco near Long Beach, Washington. Scott repositions his bike after pulling the trailer into position and opening it up. As you can see it opens up into a nice large sleeping space and still plenty of room to stand up inside.

The moles sure liked the soft earth of the campground. We had a nice large space to call home. A picnic table is on the other side of the trailer.

Ah yes, the official KOA store/office. Scott gets a special rate at the KOA and it's nice to have hot showers in the morning.

Just in case you didn't believe me when I told you where we were.

Yep, lots of molehills. Remember to put down the plastic foot for the kickstand or you might sink and tip over.

Scott and I both made it, of course. 1 down, 4 to go!
